But the evidence is very clear that especially when it comes to groceries in UK most shoppers do not even look at country of origin labels, except maybe when it comes to Wines where consumers may have a strong preference for a particular region . The evidence for this can be found in surveys conducted every year on consumer habits by Grocer Magazine. I myself asked local shoppers at my nearest Tesco would they boycot goods from any country. I asked 15 shoppers at random, not one would boycot. Of course a tiny unscientific survey.
