The author makes wide ranging statements but doesn't give any proof. Alloul's support for nonviolent protests is exactly the same as that of Abbas. Not sure why the author believes that this is a more hawkish position. If the world can't enforce its own resolutions what are the Palestinians supposed to do to make israel end the illegal occupation and settlement enterprise.

The PLO was brought into Israel for the purpose of achieving a two state solution. If Israel pursues a 1 state solution, it will be on Israel's terms.
