1. It is tragedy. It is also war. Innocent people die in war.

The people of Gaza didn't stop Hamas from attacking Israel. I'm know everyone in Israel was mortified to learn of the girls' deaths. Any human being would be. The doctor had the means and time to move his family to safety for months- but he didn't. What did he think was going to happen when Israel would fight back? Israel told all civilians in the war zone to move to the south, out of harm's way. Why didn't the doctor and his family move out?

It won't hurt Israel to apologize, but that is all they must do. No damages should be awarded. If the doctor is looking for compensation, he should look to Hamas, the party that started the fight.

Dr. Abuelaish, as a father, I cannot fathom the anguish you must bear. I will apologize for the whole human race that let you and your girls down. But know that Israel never wanted to enter Gaza. It washed its hands of it. It was Hamas who provoked Israel and finally got a response. Had Hamas been a decent government to the people of Gaza, and only had their best interests at heart, your entire family would be alive and well.
2. Sadness
Bertram ,   London, UK.   (03.14.17)
It is incredible how many people - Israelis, Palestinians, and aplogists for both sides - weigh in to place the responsibility for what happened. While the struggle continues for the moral high ground a family is left grieving for the loss of three children. The failure to recognise human tragedy.- whoever is to blame - is surely a sign that we have reached a new low.
3. Hamas is responsible for these deaths
BUILD BABY BUILD !!   (03.15.17)
Hamas started a war with Israel and used human shields such as these deceased to achieve what? more failures and deaths that's what.
