Israel in 1950-1980s was definitely much more beautiful than today.
Open spaces, low buildings, the sea is visible from any point, more greenery, open wide beaches.
Today's reality is as ugly as it can be. Disgusting high rise towers, no more open spaces in Tel Aviv. Independence Park turned into an ugly place, millions of diesel cars polluting not only Tel Aviv, but all of israel while in Europe these cars are going to be banned from entering cities like London, Paris, berlin...etc. Polluted Tel Aviv spreads it poisons many km around.
