1. CORRECT... US strike does have worldwide ramifications
Rafi ,   US   (04.10.17)
Meanwhile Putin may not confront US directly, but he'll find his time & place to exact "indirect" response... Ukraine, Baltics, North Korea, etc.

The troubles & tensions are not over by a long run...
2. that which is forbidden and will not be tolerated
C   (04.10.17)
1 the use of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons,
chemical and biological weapons;
2 the violation of international treaties and conventions which outlaw
crimes against humanity and war crimes, including genocide,
torture on large scale, the use of sexual attacks as a means of
war, sexual slavery of civilians, including young girls and boys;
3 violation of chapter vii unsr's;
4 the use of terror against innocent civilians with the goal of
defeating their nation, including dispersing entire populations
from their legally recognized homeland;
5 the waging of wars of aggressions against nations that
are not enemies;
6 wars against the peace of the world.
3. ben yishai is out to lunch
geroge   (04.10.17)
putin has been moderniing and preparing the russian general staff to be ready will and able thorugh practise and real combat-geogia, ukraine, and now syria. putin can wheel 90000 russian troops from russia to syria in 48 hours. the usa would take 1 month and is ill prepared.

obama deliberately downsized usa military in return for special ops , drones and some weapon platforms.

trump wants to increase size of navy, army, no of planes etc.it will take time.

so putin is right now in command position though general mattis has a good idea on what to do. and so far, usa positioning is more muscular than in obama's time.

ben yishai doesn't know what he is talking about.
4. Ben-Yishai is either a cynical hypocrite or plain delusional
Mark B. ,   Amsterdam   (04.10.17)
Saudi-Arabia has created a femine in Yemen which now puts 13 million people on the brink of starvation. It began already under Obama (who looked the other way) but under Trump the Saudi's feel even more comfortable to carry on with their warcrimes. So much for "red lines on violations of human ethics". Oil, oil, oil.......
As fas as China is concerned, Ben-Yishai seems to think that any country that challenges the world domination of the US, is provoking the world order as it should be. In the case of a giant like China, that is the view of either a racist or a colonial thinking bigot.

By the way: Trump is a con-man. All he wanted was a good headline and the illusion of strength. This action will backfire on him and the US in a major way.

5. Donald introduced unpredictability
Avi L.   (04.10.17)
Donald introduced a factor of unpredictability in international relationships, a little Kim factor.

This is good because it let Putin an other wondering about potencial Donald's weaponized knee reflex. Until now they counted on US administration prudence and rationality. Now they face someone more similar to them than Obama.

But on the other side it could cause some end of the world situation, that's why congress is voting legal restrictions on Donald's capabilities in ordering a first nuclear strike. Just in case.
6. Attack on israeli's behalf
