referred to as "settlement?" It is a building project as it would be in any other part of the Country. The "Yishuv" of the early 20th century was "settlement," as Israel was not an independent, sovreign nation. This is not the case today. Israel needs to stop referring to the building projects as "settlements" and to the residents that purchase these units as "settlers." They are Israeli citizens who are purchasing apartments as they would in any other part of the Country. Continuing to refer to the building projects in Yesha as "settlements" only creates confusion and adds to the on-going dispute with the Palestinian.
This is sovreign Israeli territory that needs to be acknowledged and treated as such.

it is not only him but livni lapid herzog and gal on are weddedd to concesions. nothing israel does will placate arab leaders. as for regional arab peace, you are whistling past the graveyard. theonly thing that impresses arab countries is idf power and israeli medical system. other than that, arabs have no interest in israel.

haaretz just printed obama's plan for peace negotiated with abbas and bibi. in the plan which eventually fell apart. in it, bibi's is seen to concede most of west bank and even withdraw from the jordan valley eventually. this of course contradicts bibi's recent statements of the jordan valley. bibi is a congenital liar in other words, bibi lies so often, truth has no meaning to him. his statements about what lands he would hold are worthless utterances of an untrustworty weak man who lies to stay in power. israelis should throw bibi out of office, the sooner the better.
