Additional testing of Arrow is certainly valuable. But while this might be intended to show the US could contend with a "shortest path" attack by North Korea, they should consider a very different kind of attack coming from the south.
North Korea already has two satellites in a southern orbit. They may well be planning a low orbit detonation, resulting in catastrophic EM pulse.
