Far beyond Iraq and Syria to Lebanon and striking distance of Turkey, Israel, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, Egypt and much of Southern Russia, North Africa and Southern Europe
Make no mistake though their benign 'leasing' of Syrian and Lebanese territory is nothing but. It is purely and simply a first step toward a complete takeover of the entire territory of Lebanon and Syria
Is this Iran finally taking its hegemonic ambitions one step too far?
Has Iran wrong footed and breached trust with Russia and especially Turkey and taken them by surprise to suddenly find new potential neighbours in Lebanon and Syria at the end of thousands of offensive missiles
And what about the effect on North Africa and South Europe..to a new kid on the block that may be running like loose cannon around the med
We don't have to be nuclear scientists to see that WHEREVER Iran has cast its shadow ..death and destruction follow
This is a dangerous development and requires a unity of purpose from the whole region and beyond to firmly confront or deal with before it becomes another N Korea
