Windows need to have Armorcoat or Armorguard plastic glue paper on the inside (clear or tinted), there needs to be sliding steel bolts on doors, extra locks on windows and rolling metal shutters on the inside of all windows and doors that are openings to the outside of the house. Sliding metal shutters on doors inside the house would keep an intruder out of the room the children were taken to.
