1. DEPORTATION
Kobi ,   Jerusalem   (10.19.09)
Perhaps those who want the deportation can imagine their own grandchildren, born and raised in Israel, thrown out of the country. Shame on anyone who throws kids out of their country of birth.
2. All the unemployed heredim are anxious to do these jobs
already employed ,   Tel Aviv   (10.19.09)
so train them to take these workers places and solve everything (let's see how that idea flies).......
3. If you deport them
Hachasid   (10.19.09)
1) Deport all the Arabs 2) Deport all the gentiles 3) Deport all the illegal aliens 4) Deport many if not most Russians and Etiopians. Then you are consistent. Cowards! says I
4. Misplaced Kindness
Akiva ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.19.09)
While the nation ignores the children deported from Gush Katif, while it doesn't provide sufficient training to the olim from Ethiopia, and while it's already facing internal ethnic, class and religious level strife.... the liberal hearts from Tel Aviv bleed for the children of foreign workers, foreign ethnicities, and foreign cultures that came to pick their vegetables and clean their streets and had some children along the way. Give in today and face the associated series of problems in the future.
5. But let's DO keep the whitey thugs, of course
5th generation ,   Israel   (10.19.09)
6. I have no problem looking them in the eyes
frank ,   israel   (10.19.09)
and I can still say, deport them. I would like to hear about those whinny leftist and what they said when "israel" deported Jews out of our land. I hope these same people gave the same cry, "don't deport them". But probably not. So what does that say about them. And to respond to the person who said then deport goyim, arabs....I agree, deport them all. Frankly if given a choice between illegal alians and left wing people, I vote we keep the illegals.....I am willing to make that sacrifice for the country....
7. Come on, lets be realistic!
Tamara ,   Israel   (10.19.09)
If the stay, their parents have to stay ..come on! They are using them for staying..since when a kid 8 years old knows what he really wants?. How many kids came here with their parents from another countries as olim hadashim and also did not want to leave, but it was the right thing. I am sorry but this country was created for our own people, why we have to save the world now? we have to save ourselves..we jews we do not even have another place to go to...the place they are gonna take will take away the possibility for anothers jews..our people!
8. I looked them in the eye and agree that they must leave
Dovid ,   Modiin   (10.19.09)
9. Mia Farrow & Gaza Victims
Malka Kideckel Bando ,   Melbourne Australia   (10.19.09)
Mia Farrow knows nothing about suffering, even as an Ambassador for UNICEF another big name and brainwashed bias female. Let's call a spade a spade Mia, what about the civilian targets the women and children from the Arab civilian population targets those animals attacked us from recently. What about those monsters Mia, get real Mia Farrow, your nothing but a Sparrow, I hope the world ignores you like they do the sparrow.
10. Deporting Children
Malka K. Bando ,   Melbourne Australia   (10.19.09)
I agree with Akiva, "MIsplaced Kindness" religiously misplaced when it comes to foreigners but with the Jews, well we're second class citizens!!!
11. Deportation of Illegals
Itzik ,   T/A Israel   (10.19.09)
Lovely photos and of course heart rendering as they were meant to be. Why not instead of the kids, lets get some real good photos of the their Illegal Economic Migrant Parents each of whom decided to break the law for their own purpose and are now using their kids for ransom Each time we see the kids we say no more deportations - except of course,we will be saying this time and time again as we every few years are faced with the next bunch of law breakers and their kids. They knowingly, willingly broke the law, they deliberately and willfully have decided to ignore their agreements and for this we give them citizenship? Have we lost the plot?
12. Where's the problem?
Igor ,   Germany   (10.19.09)
Let the children convert to Judaism. Then they are entitled to become Israelis.
13. Look them in the eye
Bruria   (10.19.09)
So, illegal immigrants are birthing children to blackmail us into giving them citizenship--what kind of citizens will we have? Non-Jewish lawbreakers? And don't forget, if we let the children stay it means then the parents, grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunts--this is not something we can absorb! Let the bleeding hearts send them support every month, but don't expect the country to reward lawlessness with citizenship!
14. Going home is not Deportation
sam ,   USA   (10.19.09)
15. LOOK AT 5 BILLION PEOPLE IN THE WORLD..
....DACON9   (10.20.09)
CAN ISRAEL HANDLE THEM? WHAT A PATHETIC BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL THE WRITER IS
16. Foreign workers children
Marilyn ,   USA   (10.20.09)
It is a choice that Israeli's have to make. Either no more future foreign workers or to be more accepting of the children or maybe even a compromise between the two.
17. Eli Yishai should look at the 7 Shas criminals in the eye
Avi ,   Israel   (10.20.09)
Maybe Eli Yishai would be better off looking in the eye of the 7 Sham MKs who were convicted of serious offences including bribary, theft and corruption and asking himself how come a party that belives it is doing Gods work fail even to keep the 10 commandments.
18. Okay, I have looked them in the eye, too
Sarah B ,   New York / Saviyon   (10.20.09)
When's the next flight to Sudan? Sorry, but these people do not belong in my country.
19. SHAME
ESTHER ,   TEL AVIV ISRAEL   (10.22.09)
IT IS HEART BREAKING FOR ME TO HEAR THATJEWS ARE TALKING ABOUT DEPORTING OTHER PEOPLE FROM THEIR LAND WHEN THEY THEIRSELVES ARE ALL OVER IN OTHER PEOPLE LAND.SINCE SOME OF YOU JEWS ARE SO MEAN AND INSISTING ON DEPORTION,HOW WILL YOU FEEL IF OTHERS NATION WOULD ASK ALL THE JEWS THAT LIVE AND WERE BORN THERE TO RETRN BACK TO ISRAEL?TYHEM YOU WILL SCREAM HATE BUT DEPORTING OTHER PEOPLE ONCE THEY ARE NOT JEWS IS FINE BY YOU.SHAME
20. Esther
Shmuel ,   T/A Israel   (10.25.09)
Dear Esther - The folks that Israel is going deport are not Legal Law Abiding Folks - they are ILLEGAL Workers. The Workers CHOSE to break the law, they decided to have kids and leave Israel and now they must go. Either we live in a land where the law is paramount and anybody working here on a temporary work permit understands this or we are living in a land where the workers from foreign countries can do as they want. If we must use foreign labour it is not an open ended contract whereby the worker decides when they go back or if the go back or if they stay - they are obliged by law and their own agreement to go or be deported The kids will not feel strange in their new surroundings they are in fact going home If we have a land where people can do as they want then we are never going to have people obeying or following the law
21. deportees
frank ,   israel   (10.25.09)
nice photos and I hope each and every one gets a souvinior copy to take home with them....
22. To Malka
(10.30.09)
Hi Malka, Is the name or your Street: Melbourne ????? Is it somewhere in Jerusalem or may be Tel Aviv ?? Never heard of such a street but I welcome you in Israel and am grateful that you are so much concerned with us here.
23. To #18 - Sarah
(10.30.09)
But my dear, they are not in your country, they are in Israel !!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you in the States !
24. what?? are you that immature?
yoni ,   tel aviv   (11.03.09)
How could you have a rasonable conversation with people who want to play on your emotions with nonsensical pictures of children. Does the fact that they are currently children make a difference? aside from the fact that they are adorable it does not change the issue at all. The facts are that we have to implement immigration policies to protect our country. Soon these children will be adults dont be so short sighted. They should not ever have entered our country illegally. This is life
25. Where were the goverment for all those years?
Bettina ,   Rehovot   (11.05.09)
The goverment should had woken up earlier, if it wanted to deport illegal migrants. These people have been here for decades now. Since nothing serious was done about them working here, giving birth etc. they thought that we more or less accepted them here- but it wasn't so. We have to accept the ones already here. Believe me, they don't take jobs from any Israelis, many don't have jobs. These people are actually many diverse groups: philipinan caregivers who gave birth (then they automatically became illegal), westafricans looking for a better future and asylum-seekers. We can't just wake up and kick them out.
