Yad Vashem




Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, is Israel's memorial to the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust. Located in Jerusalem, It features the world's largest collection of information on the Holocaust and is a leader in education, commemoration, research and documentation for this terrible event in human history.

 

Yad Vashem was established in 1953 by an act by the Knesset.
