After the slogans were discovered, prison guards searched the detainees’ belongings and confiscated their writing implements.

Meanwhile, sources involved in the anti-pullout struggle told Ynet most of the demonstrators detained Monday are yeshiva students and characterized them as “good kids.” The sources noted hardcore members of the pullout resistance movement are waiting for the disengagement to roll around before they begin acting.

Overall, police detained 405 right-wing activists in connection with the latest road-blocking blitz. Some of the detainees already faced judges, while others are expected to be brought before the courts later Tuesday.

Court officials preparing for trouble

A Haifa-area court ordered the release of 14 minors arrested during a protest in the area on condition they agree to be finger-printed by police. However, the court extended the remand of four other minors by another two days.

Meanwhile, court officials are preparing for anti-pullout protests to spill into courtrooms as well. Tuesday, extra court security guards were called in to reinforce the afternoon shift ahead of the expected influx of right-wing activists.

In recent months, the guards underwent special training in a bid to simulate potential scenarios they may be faced with once the pullout begins.

One of the scenarios examined was the possibility of settlers tying themselves to each other, lying down on the courtroom’s floor, and refusing to leave.
