Bank consultant shot to death Friday night by unknown assailant, Russian media report

TEL AVIV - Anton Pasirov, a 55-year-old Israeli national, was murdered in western Moscow Friday night, Russian media sources reported.
According to the reports, Pasirov served as a consultant to a local bank. Police in Moscow have launched an investigation into the murder.
The man was apparently shot twice in the head by an unknown assailant at about 10 p.m. Friday. Further details are unavailable at this time, but a local court ordered the investigation to proceed on the assumption that man was indeed murdered.
Israelis often travel to Russia on business
Sources in Russia said investigators recovered a business card indicating the victim served as a consultant to the bank’s president.
Israeli business people have been conducting diverse affairs in Russia and often travel there in the framework of their work. Israeli nationals are known to be involved in commerce, banking, communication, and the Russian diamond industry, among other fields.
