An infiltration of another kind
Gush Katif resident caught smuggling 2 kilograms of hashish into Gaza Strip; drugs hidden in two old televisions By Anat Brashkovsky KISSUFIM CROSSING - It's not only Palestinian terrorists and Israeli anti-pullout protesters who try to get into Gush Katif: Police found two kilograms (4.4 pounds) of hashish hidden inside two televisions in the car of a Gush Katif resident Wednesday. During a routine car inspection at the Kissufim Crossing at the entrance to the Gaza Strip, police officers became suspicious after they found two old televisions in the trunk of the car. When the driver - a 23-year-old with no prior criminal record - was asked why he needed the televisions, he started to sweat and stutter, which caused the police to suspect him and proceeded to search the televisions. The driver claimed he did not know where the televisions originally came from, but that he received them from someone in the southern town of Rahat. A hitchhiker was also present in the car; however, he claimed that he has no connection to the incident. Both the driver and hitchhiker were taken in for police questioning.
