The mass funerals are expected to be attended by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia, and other senior officials.

The Palestinians killed in the Amman blasts include Bashir Nafa, the PA’s West Bank intelligence chief, as well as the PA’s cultural attache in Egypt, the former Palestinian Interior Ministry director general, and a senior official in Abbas’ office.

Meanwhile, all Palestinian organizations condemned the series of bombings in Amman, referring to them as “terror attacks. Abbas also spoke with Jordan’s King Abdullah on the phone and expressed his condolences.

Palestinian sources refused to explain the presence of the four killed officials at the Jordan hotel, which was also hosting senior Jordanian and Saudi security officials at the same time.

Palestinian media sources are reporting that the PA’s communication minister survived the blasts after a planned meeting was moved to a different hotel at the last moment
