"We're continuing with the highest deployment, every district in accordance with expected events," a senior police official told Ynet. "The forces are fully deployed so that people can continue celebrating the holiday and spend time outside. We're again calling on the public to remain alert and report to police every suspicious person or object."

Security forces have boosted their deployment at entertainment venues across the nation, as well as parks and malls.

Particularly focus on Western Wall

The number of terror warnings has been climbing in recent days. On the eve of the holiday, authorities reported 77 general terror alerts and another 13 concrete alerts. By the weekend, the number of concrete alerts rose to 16.

Police forces across the country went on high alert in light of the numerous warnings and in the wake of the escalation in violence in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, police in Jerusalem are also on high alert, with a particular focus on the Western Wall, with thousands of visitors expected at the holy site this week. Members of a far-right group, the "Temple Mount Trustees," also declared their intention to enter the compound, but police forces are expected to prevent them from doing so.

At the same time, IDF forces continue to operate against terror cells in the northern West Bank.
