PRC: We will shoot till Israel says 'stop'
Group claims responsibility for rocket attack, says wants to see 'thousands of residents evacuated' Ali Waked The Popular Resistance Committees' military wing, which claimed responsibility for the barrage of Qassam rockets on Sderot that killed one woman on Monday said it would continue to fire rockets at Israel.
The group's spokesman, Abu Abir, said that the salvo was timed to coincide with the Israeli television news edition.
"The barrage was just a primary demonstration and rockets will continue to fall as long as the Israeli attack continues. We will continue until the Israelis say 'stop,'" he added.
This statement came just a few days after an Israeli security source made a similar statement to Ynet. The Palestinians claimed that immediately after the shooting, and IDF tank fired a shell at the cell, but none of its members were hurt. According to Abu Abir, the Palestinian resistance organizations would not back down, even if the targeted killings reach more senior leaders. "Yesterday, Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya, said after members of his family were killed, that the incident would only increase our determination. This is the essence of the Palestinian people. No killing, no shelling and no air strike will prevent us from continuing. We want to see thousands more residents of Sderot and the vicinity be evacuated," Abu Abir said.
"The Palestinians are marking the 59th anniversary of the Nakba (the disastrous day of Israel's establishment) today, and the Nakba echoes in our consciousness. This attack was part of our struggle to retrieve our ancestors' lands. The conflict will end once the Zionists leave our lands, and they will."
