Knesset approves Druze heritage center

The Knesset plenum approved a bill Monday to establish a Druze heritage center in Israel. The center will include a museum, archives, and a research center.

MK Majalli Whbee (Kadima), who proposed the bill, said: "We must do everything to ensure that the government is not satisfied by only establishing symbolic, important sites such as the heritage center, but that it continues by treating the community, that contributes much to the country, seriously and respectfully." (Amnon Meranda)
