New bill proposes to force burial of Jews in cemeteries




MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) has proposed a new bill that would impose burial of Jews in cemeteries after they die.

 

Gafni said: "Recently, a company that provides cremation services for Jews has started to operate in Israel. Cremation is forbidden in the Torah and according to halacha is not permitted, yet there is no law to enforce it."   (Amnon Meranda)
