US weighs increasing military aid to Lebanon




The United States is considering increasing its military aid package to Lebanon, the White House announced Monday.

 

In the past few weeks the Lebanese army has been combating the Fatah al-Islam Islamic extremist group which is holed up at the Naher al-Bared refugee camp near Tripoli. (AFP)
