Municipality launches internet site offering audio guidance to 80 different sites in capital

The unique Jerusalemp3 project of city's Municipality was launched a few weeks ago, offering visitors the opportunity to download guided tours of the city free of charge.

 

As part of the endeavor to promote tourism from Israel and around the world to Jerusalem, the municipality launched an internet site that offers audio guidance to 80 different sites in the city in Hebrew and English.

The files can be downloaded as MP3 files, and provide the tourist with information about cultural and tourism sites in Jerusalem, as well as enabling the tourist to visit the city’s sites independently.

 

Each route also includes video, text, photos and a printable map, so that the route can be modified to suit everyone's needs.

 

The routes have been compiled by the Ben-Zvi Center and were narrated professionally.

 

Files are currently available for the following sites: Ein Karem, the Mount of Olives, Nahla’ot and Ha'Nevi’im Street, the Jewish Quarter and the Via Dolorosa. Two new routes, to be added on June 17th - Jaffa Street and Government Hill.
