Peres urges Egyptian FM to push for Shalit release

President Shimon Peres urged Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Aboul Gheit to uphold efforts to release kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Sahlit.

During talks in Jerusalem, Peres also asked Gheit and his Jordanian counterpart Abdullah Al-Khatib to seek information about the fate of two IDF soldiers kidnapped by Hizbullah last summer. (Ronny Sofer)
