Olmert: Joint statement with Palestinians expected before US summit




Prime Minister Ehud Olmert referred Sunday to the reports that Israel and the Palestinian Authority are about to sign a declaration of principles.

 

"The truth is that we are talking about a joint statement, which we hope will be the title of the international summit in Washington in November. When we reach a statement, I will bring it to the government. I don't plan to hide it. There is a difference between a declaration of principles and a statement." (Ronny Sofer)
