Iran calls Hizbullah, Hamas most popular groups in Middle East




Iran said on Monday that Hamas and Hizbullah are the most popular groups in the Middle East despite US President George W. Bush's accusations that they destabilize the region.

 

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini says Lebanon's Shiite Hizbullah group and the Palestinian militant Hamas are the most "noble and popular" groups. Iran supports both Hizbullah and Hamas, which the US considers terrorist groups. (AP)
