CLS Bank adds Shekel to list of eligible currencies

The New Israeli Shekel became was added on Monday to the list of eligible currencies by currency settlement network CLS Bank, along with the Mexican peso.

The New York-based firm, which ensures that each side of foreign exchange trades gets paid, will offer settlement in these currencies immediately, taking the total number of currencies that it handles to 17. (Ynet)
