Witnesses say twin car bombings have hit a hotel and local military headquarters in the town of Bouira southeast of the Algerian capital.

Algeria's Liberte newspaper correspondent in Bouira, Abdellah Debbache, says the first blast ripped off most of the front of the town's military headquarters at about 6 am (0400 GMT) on Wednesday. (AP)
