Jordan releases 4 prisoners convicted of murdering Israelis




Jordan has released four prisoners who were sentenced by an Israeli court to life imprisonment for the murder of Israelis, the Jordanian news agency Petra reported Wednesday.

 

The four were transferred to Jordan about a year ago as a gesture to King Abdullah. Their release was the result of public pressure in the kingdom following the recent prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hizbullah. (Roee Nahmias)
