Medvedev, Olmert discuss Caucasus conflict




Russian President Dmitry Medvedev phoned Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in an apparent effort to warm relations between the countries amid Moscow's conflict with Georgia.

 

The leaders spoke at length about various issues, including the war in the Caucasus, the Middle East peace process and Syrian President Bashar Assad's visit to Moscow, which is scheduled to begin Thursday. (Roni Sofer)
