Iraq sends extra police to Syrian border

Iraqi police are heading to the Syrian border near the scene of a US raid last weekend on a suspected al-Qaeda hideout in Syria.

Police Col. Jubair Rashid Naief says a police quick reaction force is moving Saturday to the border at Qaim to prevent al-Qaeda operatives from slipping into Iraq. (AP)
