Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22)
Leo is the sign of love, will, and deep desire for recognition, as well as the sigh of leadership, acting, and creation
Leo is the sign of love, will, and deep desire for recognition. It is also the sign of leadership, acting, and creation. Leos want to feel courted, and are disappointed when ignored.
Concealed in every Leo are an actor, director, producer, and (self) advertising and public relations executive. In matters of the heart, consider Bill Clinton, a leader who loved to love and was given the forgiveness of Americans despite his problems.
When it comes to leadership, we can think back to another Leo, George Bernard Shaw, who coined the phrase “the show must go on.”
Madonna, too, is known for her desire to dance, sing, pose for photographs, and be bigger than anyone. Her exhibitionist characteristics clearly illustrate the extroverted dimension associated with Leos.
Whitney Houston and Robert Redford are also typical Leos, not to mention Mick Jagger, who still bounces on stage with a vigor only Leos possess.
Former Prime Minister Menahem Begin was an honorable man of his word, and managed to captivate the masses through his proud personality. Another Leo, Fidel Castro, did the same in Cuba.
Speaking of Begin, he did not boast the typical, fine Leo mane, but Clinton and Shimon Peres, another famous Leo, sure do.
Director Alfred Hitchcock, also a Leo, was a hugely successful filmmaker who achieved fame and fortune, despite his frequent failures to woo young actresses on the set.
Leos know how to leave their mark – reputation and prestige is the name of the game for them. Give them respect, and they feel the sun is shining on them. They love to love, live, and have fun.
Leos also make excellent CEOs, thanks to their management skills and expertise in assigning tasks.
Career
Leos work intensively. They may encounter difficulties when changes come around and attempt to maintain the current state of affairs, while aspiring to continuously establish themselves.
Leos lean toward management and authority, and find business affairs and financial matters important. Senior positions and the commensurate financial status come later in life.
Their career could be related to teaching, the creative arts, acting, children and youth, movie, theater, jewelry, flying, or high-tech. Leos can be critical, but are highly devoted to their work.
Relationships
Leos need a true life partner and are attracted to non-conventional characters. Rifts and breakups are possible, as are duality and two marriages or a pair of serious relationships.
The partner would tend to be young in spirit and appearance, communicative, mobile, alert, and love to travel. Leos must be able to communicate and be satisfied that their partners are intelligent and possibly famous in their field.
Finances
Despite the tendency to waste money, a dimension of control, criticism, and accuracy in financial matters is also present in this sign. Leos have a grasp of money matters and might receive an inheritance.
They face the prospect of losing money or property due to an error in judgment or naiveté. Leos can also be giving when it comes to money.
Family/parents
Leos go through difficult processes when it comes to family, and at times experience a sense of inferiority and humiliation at a young age. The father figure tends to be problematic, and the home features a reserved atmosphere.
The Leo mother is a total mother who sacrifices for the sake of the home and the family. Leos can also be connected to adoption.
Health
Leos are sensitive when it comes to the heart and blood system, and must closely monitor calcium and sugar levels. The eyes, uterus, chest, urinary gland, fluids, and feet are also sensitive.
Social life
Leos have many friends and plenty of communication. Female and male friends would tend to be young and intelligent. Leos are attracted to social events and need to maintain many relationships.
Leos are typical social animals. They are also able to connect a social event to business matters, and tend to introduce friends and mediate between them.
Life philosophy
Leos find love abroad. Their motto is to live well and long, and they love to travel. When it comes to love they are extroverted, express themselves, and demand honesty and openness.
Leo children are energetic and particularly active. Their worldview stresses living in the present.
Sexuality
Paradoxically, Leos could be confused and shy. On the one hand they may be creative and physical, but on the other end go through bouts of asceticism. A sense of victimhood and sacrifice when it comes to sexuality is also common.
Leos relate sexuality to warmth, love, and emotion, and totality. They find it difficult to separate from a sexual partner and can become addicted, with a tendency for self- destruction, because of sexuality.
Fashion and clothes
Their clothes tend to be airy, lighthearted, futuristic, and revealing. Plenty of transparency is a possibility, as is a sporty, young style.
Attitude to death
Pain and memory, connected to the past and family. Leos also develop denial mechanisms, along with a sense of victimhood and confusion.
Attitude to God/religion
A critical attitude, but Leos tend to be curious in the philosophical sense. Religion is viewed as a tool for achieving managerial-political power.
Attitude to past/future
Denials are related to the past, along with confusion and a sense of inferiority and humiliation. Leos have an obsession about a past that keeps repeating itself in the present. The future, however, seems esthetic, creative, open, and partnered.
Time perception
Time is perceived as a functional, work-related resource. Leos tend to be critical in this area as well. Time also plays a therapeutic-medical role for Leos, who want to be left alone and not pressured.
