Mossad website sparks huge interest
Over 900,000 users, including many from Arab states, visit upgraded site in past seven months
TEL AVIV - Over 900,000 users visited the upgraded Mossad website in the past seven months, according to figures collected by the government.
The new site is mostly dedicated to recruiting new employees to the spy agency, but it also features new sections, including a Q & A page and a brief historical overview.
About 70 percent of visitors to the site reached it through its official Internet address, www.mossad.gov.il, while the others were directed from various other sites in Israel and abroad.
On an interesting note, about 32 percent of visitors came from the Middle East, with more than two thirds of them hailing from Arab countries. Another 16 percent of visitors were North American, while 22 percent came from Western Europe.
The spy agency is pleased with the enthusiastic response to its new website, said the site's project manager, Limor Friedman.
"We view it as a major, high quality tool for recruiting new members to the organization," she said.
The website presents available positions in the organization categorized according to the following fields: special operations, technology, office-based positions and languages, human resources, and logistics.
