IDF and police in Jerusalem have rescinded a high alert following a morning of intelligence warnings that terror organizations would try to stage an attack Friday.

Following the warning, Jerusalem police increased their presence around the city, adding officers to existing beats and setting up arbitrary checkpoints around the city to investigate suspicious individuals. The action resulted in large traffic jams throughout the capital.

At Jerusalem-area checkpoints, IDF soldiers have intensified searches of Palestinian cars entering the capital.

Despite renewed security cooperation with the Palestinians, security forces report there have been 40 attack warnings today around the country.

In Gaza, the second Qassam rocket in three days hit Gush Katif. No injuries were reported.
