America is right even when it's wrong
One Pentagon secretary was wrong - Israel's defense ministry is paying the price
The difference between an all-encompassing empire and a dragged-along country is much like the difference between an all-powerful master and a broken-down slave. One can discover this from the moment an Israeli foot steps on U.S. soil at Kennedy airport in New York City.
Israelis who were happy, cheerful, jumpy and lively only moments earlier on the plane, turn silent and shocked, nearly panicking when they stand in line to get their passports checked.
No one talks, no one makes any unnecessary gestures, and generally, Israelis try to avoid attracting the attention of the American immigration official.
One unnecessary word, one unnecessary gesture, and the clerk in the hatch will show you the way back home; why? Because the clerk wants to, and he is master of the world. He is America.
This negative and hurtful attitude has recently been the share of Amos Yaron and the Israeli defense system; it is not his or the system's fault.
Pentagon secretary's mistake
One Pentagon secretary made a mistake, and Yaron and the ministry are paying the price simply because the secretary is too much of a coward to admit to her mistake.
I once witnessed a similar situation. Then Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Rabin corrected former U.S. Secretary of State James Baker. All Baker did was bend over the table, lean towards Rabin, and say: America, even when it's wrong, it's right.
Some say Amos Yaron is the best general director the defense ministry has had in years, while others contend he is the best ever. He is an honest man that makes a ruler look bent.
As general director of the defense ministry, Yaron meets American Pentagon office workers on a regular basis; these office workers' job is to seek and find enemies for America; in reality, they justify the existence of the humongous American security industries.
China is the enemy
China is the current enemy; just like Iraq had been in the past and Syria is set to be in the future.
In light of claims against Israelis selling security related products to China, the Pentagon shut its doors to Amos Yaron and the defense ministry. This impossible situation has been going on for months now.
The state of Israel and Yaron answered all American questions regarding China; they "stripped" down to the last detail, they made a mockery of themselves, they lied on the floor. What else are you going to ask of us, America?
The Pentagon lady does not give up. She undisputedly proved she was wrong, that Yaron's and the defense ministry's reports were the naked truth. However, she persistently demands that Amos Yaron pay the price.
Why? What? How come? Because this is what the lady wants—and this is how it will be; because even when America is wrong, it is right.
Admitting to a mistake will always be the privilege of the poor relative, the beggar's right. The master, who stands at the door and slices his bread, is never wrong.
Ariel Sharon acknowledges the fact that Yaron is right. Sharon is also aware of the obvious American lack of integrity towards the defense ministry's general director. But what else can a poor prime minister, who gets the Rabbi's left-overs, do?
