Settler violence: A group of settlers set military equipment on fire in the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar, south of Nablus, Tuesday morning.
The torched equipment, which includes cameras and radars, is designated to protect settlers from Palestinian attacks. IDF officials said the view the latest case of vandalism targeted at the army severely.
Meanwhile, about 160 settlers and pullout foes were detained in a series of incidents over the past 24 hours in the northern West Bank.
About 100 infiltrators, who were attempting to reach the communities of Sa-Nur and Homesh before their evacuation, were detained during clashes in the industrial zone near the settlement of Kedumim.
Earlier, about to 50 infiltrators were arrested in and around Palestinian villages. In another incident, two Palestinians sustained light injuries after settlers hurled stones at them.
IDF vehicle torched
Settler leader Daniela Weiss, who heads the local council of Kedumim, was among those apprehended, as was her deputy.
Later, a group of girls who object to the pullout slashed the tires of an IDF vehicle. The vehicle was carrying detained pullout foes and was vandalized when it stopped near Kedumim. Immediately after its tires were slashed, the detainees disembarked from the vehicle and set it on fire.
No one was hurt in the incident but the vehicle was damaged
