'We'll never return U.S. hostage'

Iraqi terror group releases new video of American hostage, voice on recording addresses Bush and says captive will not be released

Iraqi jihad group "The Islamic Army in Iraq" has released a video of an American hostage, Ronald Alan Schulz, and threatened to murder him, Ynetnews has learned.

The Arabic news network Al-Jazeera said that the Islamic Army threatened to kill the hostage within 48 hours if the U.S. did not release members of its organization from prison, but a version of the video which appeared on the internet included an audio statement, in which no conditions were set for Schulz's release.

The authenticity of both claims has not been verified.

A voice on the internet video ominously said in Arabic: "You are waiting for a missing person who will never return."

The video has appeared on the infovlad.net website, which frequently posts links to jihadi video releases from Iraq.

A written message on the video said that Schulz was an "American security advisor," and the voice on the tape addressed a recorded message to U.S. President George Bush.

"This is a message to Bush, who declared victory," said the unidentified man.

"We put actions before words…. Never promise yourself victory. Victory will only come to fighters for Allah, the mujahadeen (holy warriors)," he added.

The camera zoomed in on Schulz's passport and other identifying documents, before returning to an image of the hostage, who looked unsettled and pale.

The voice on the tape continued to espouse jihadist rhetoric, warning Bush "not to sleep too much so as not to carry on dreaming unrealistic dreams."

"I want you to wake up and see reality as it is, because jihad will carry on and will prevail, God willing, and martyrdom is eternal," added the voice.
