Islamic extremists spreading activities in French jails

Islamic radicals convicted of terrorism are convincing preachers in France's prisons, while jailed

converts to Islam are dangerously full of fervor, according to a French intelligence report.

The report by the General Intelligence office, or RG, was a first-of-its-kind survey confirming that prisons are fertile ground for spreading radical Islam. It said that 175 militant inmates engaged in preaching in prisons, the daily Le Figaro reported Friday. (AP)
