A security prisoner at the Megiddo Prison preached against the Muhammad cartoons and was sent to solitary confinement.

Hamas member Basel Khaled Duikat, who is serving seven years for illegal assembly and setting up a terror cell, delivered his usual post
Friday prayer session sermon, during which he proceeded to talk of the Muhammad cartons posted in European newspapers, saying “the entire western world has united against Islam, adding that in response the Muslims must unite against the western countries, including Russia, Denmark and the U.S., and ban products such as western music and films."

All Muslims must follow in Muhammad’s path and “wage a Jihad against the western countries,” he added.

Prison guards interrupted the sermon and the prisoners were sent back into their cells. Duikat was taken to solitary confinement and on Sunday prison authorities are set to hold a disciplinary trial for him.

Prison Authority officials said guards conducted intelligence and security searches to make certain that the sermon was not delivered in preparation for prisoner riots or disturbances.

There have been no reports of cartoon-related disturbances in Israeli prisons to date.
