Erekat calls on Olmert to reject unilateral policy, return to negotiations
Palestinian parliamentary member Saeb Erekat said Wednesday the results of the Israeli elections were “surprising." “Two months ago we managed to surprise and confuse the Israelis with the results of our elections, and now they've done the same thing,” Erekat said in an interview with Israeli-Palestinian radio station Voice of Peace.
“I call on Mr. Olmert to reject unilateral policy and return to negotiations on a permanent settlement. A permanent agreement on all matters is possible, and we want to address it immediately,” Erekat said. (Roee Nahmias)
