American reality shows are moving in a Jewish direction. This week it was announced that Steven Spielberg will be involved in a reality show next season whose winner will have a chance to become the next big Hollywood director.
Now, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has got his own reality show. “Shalom in the Home,” premiered on Monday, April 10 on The Learning Channel.
The program shows Boteach going to the homes of American families involved in disputes and attempting to solve the family’s problems and create domestic harmony.
Besides meeting with the family, Rabbi Boteach will also watch them at home through a closed circuit camera to learn about their problems.
Rabbi Boteach is a radio host as well as an international best-selling author and a syndicated columnist.
He has also won the London Times "Preacher of the Year" award.
