U.S. envoy: Curbing PA aid may destabilize Mideast
The Quartet's special economic envoy to the Middle East, James Wolfensohn, warned that suspending financial aid to the Palestinian Authority may destabilize the Middle East.
Wolfensohn submitted his final report before quitting his post earlier. He said that under the current scenario, PA unemployment is expected to rise from 47 to 74 percent by 2008. (AP)
