WHO confirms 3 more bird flu cases in Indonesia

A shuttlecock maker and two other men in Indonesia have been infected with the H5N1 bird flu virus, a senior health official said on Saturday, citing test results from a WHO-accredited laboratory in Hong Kong.

The 18-year-old shuttlecock maker, who used to sort feathers in a factory in Surabaya, was alive in hospital, the official said. His condition was not immediately known. (Reuters)
