Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, telephoned the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to express Israel's "deep condolences" about their accidental killing of four of the organization's observers in Lebanon. Olmert told Annan that he instructed the IDF to conduct a thorough investigtion of the event and that he will share the results with him.
Olmert expressed his doubts about the Secretary General's statement on Tuesday that the action was intentional. (Ronny Sofer)
