US says Rice, Peres to discuss UN truce
Vice Premier Shimon Peres will meet US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Tuesday to discuss the implementation of a United Nations resolution on a truce between Israel and Hizbullah and the deployment of peacekeepers in southern Lebanon.
Peres is on a fundraising tour in the United States where is hope to raise USD 100 million to rehabilitate northern communities affected by over a month of fighting. (Ronny Sofer)
