Israeli company wins Nigeria construction bid
Exclusive: Solel Boneh International wins huge infrastructure contract in Nigeria to build road for USD 270 million

Ynet has obtained information that the Israeli Solel Boneh International construction company has won a bid to construct a road in the African country of Nigeria. The project is reportedly worth USD 270 million. This contract brings Solel Boneh International's foreign contracts to USD 700 million since the beginning of the year.
This project is just another in a line of infrastructure construction projects conducted by Solel Boneh International in Africa. Only three months ago, the company won three other bids for similar projects in Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda totaling USD 220 million.
The project in Kenya marks the return of the company to the country after years of absence. In Kenya the company won a USD 100 million project to rebuild the road between the capital Nairobi and the port city of Mombasa. The project was funded by the World Bank.
In addition, the company has won a bid to reconstruct a road in Eastern Uganda for USD 60 million, funded by the European Union. In a third contract, Solel Boneh International will build the new National Library building in the city of Aboja, Nigeria for UDS 60 million funded by the Nigerian government.
Uri Sahni, CEO of Housing & Construction Holding Company Ltd., the parent company of Solel Boneh International, said in the past that the company plans to continue to stick to its strategic objectives and cement its position in the construction and infrastructure field in the countries in which they operate as well as new ones.
