Russia: Iran's launch of 2nd centrifuge cascade no cause for concern

Russia's defense minister said Friday that the doubling of Iran's capacity to enrich uranium was not a cause for concern, and that speculation about Tehran producing weapons-grade uranium was "premature." "I don't share concerns" about Iran launching a second network of centrifuges, Sergey Ivanov said.

The new centrifuges "are under the complete control of the International Atomic Energy Agency, for scientific research purposes, to see how empty centrifuges work," he told reporters. (AP)
