Record security in J'lem for pride

Some 9,000 policemen and soldiers will spread out through Jerusalem to secure the upcoming pride parade set to take place on Friday. Police say that if there is an attempt to disrupt order in the area of the Temple Mount 3,000 additional police officers will be added.

Police chief Maj. Gen. Ilan Franco said "This is an unprecedented number on any scale. I don't remember an even that required so much security. This is the most secured event in terms of numbers, if not up until now then for a long time." (Efrat Weiss)
