High Court throws out animal rights petition against 'beast parade'

The High Court of Justice dismissed a petition filed by the 'Let Animals Live' organization against the 'Beast Parade' expected to take place Thursday afternoon as haredi march animals through Jerusalem in protest of the upcoming pride parade.
"It is needless to say how important the right to protest is to a democratic country," the judges wrote in their verdict which indicated that they did not see the parade as harmful to the animals. (Aviram Zino)
