VIDEO - Jewish students from around the world met in Beer Sheva on Monday, the second day of the conference of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS).
For some of the students, it was their first time in
Israel,
and many were excited to visit a country where they felt they were "part of the majority," as one student from Australia told Ynetnews.
After voting to admit representatives of American Jewish students, WUJS became an organization which represents nearly all Jewish students in the world.
The students told Ynetnews they hoped their organization could now become a global forum for Jewish youths linking students from Israel and the Diaspora together.
