Al-Qaeda claims responsibility for downing US helicopter
The al-Qaeda terror group has claimed responsibility for the shooting down of a US military helicopter in Iraq on Friday, the group said in a statement posted on the internet.
The US military confirmed earlier Friday that two soldiers had been killed when a helicopter "went down" north of Bagdad. (AFP)
