Two planes almost collide at Ben Gurion airport

An El-Al plane almost collided with an Iberia plane while preparing to land in Ben Gurion airport Thursday afternoon.  Witnesses told Ynet that the two planes approached the same runway from difference directions, and upon noticing each other, veered off course.

A senior El-Al official stated that Iberia was at fault and demanded a formal investigation.  The Airport Authority said it was looking into the incident. (Eli Senior)
